CEPS in partnership with Mauritius Commercial Bank (MCB) and the Seychelles Broadcasting Corporation (SBC), came together for the first edition of the festival . Forty-seven Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) participated in the event, held at the Freedom Square. The chairman of CEPS, Mr Jules Hoareau along with the MCB Managing Director Mr Bernard Jackson, addressed those present. The festival was officially launched by the Principal Secretary in the Vice-President’s office, Mr Alain Volcere. Present at the opening ceremony was Vice-President Vincent Meriton , CEPS Board members, MCB staff, members of CSOs and the general public.

Various items were on sale, as part of fund raising for the organisations themselves. and many of the participants showcased the activities and projects. SBC transmitted the event live on Paradise FM.

The event which started at 9am, came to a close at 6pm.
