The Seychelles Sports Fishing Club (SSFC) held its 7th Annual General Meeting

19th February 2016

on Friday 19th February 2016 at the Seychelles Yacht Club.

After a successful year, the Seychelles Sports Fishing Club (SSFC) has held its 7th Annual General. At the AGM, Tarak Patel, Grant Heyer and Marc Houareau were unanimously re-elected as the club’s Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer respectively. Rod Thorrington and Henry RiggsMiller are new executive committee members.

The association has held 6 successful fishing tournaments in 2015 along with the national fishing tournament organised especially for children. As part of their objective the association has also successfully implemented its conservation tag and release billfish, a programme which the association started in 2014.

Since its creation, the association has build partnerships with not only the Seychelles Fishing Authority (SFA) but also with international organisations including the Billfish Foundation (TBF), Bisbees, World Wildlife Fund (WWF) amongst others
The SSFC currently has a total of around 30 members.
