The Citizens Engagement Platform Seychelles (CEPS) is pleased to inform members that our Chief Executive Officer, Tessa Henderson, is representing the Seychelles civil society sector at the Southern African Civil Society Forum 2026, taking place from 18–21 August 2026 in Durban, South Africa.
Her participation follows the official invitation issued to CEPS as part of the SADC regional civil society delegation. The Forum, convened by the Southern African Council of NGOs (SAf‑CNGO) in partnership with regional and international organisations, brings together leaders from across Southern Africa to advance the theme:
“Democratic Futures in Africa: Advancing Accountable Governance, Social Justice, Economic Transformation and Human Dignity in Southern Africa.”
Across four days, the programme covers critical areas including democratic governance, civic space, gender equality, climate justice, digital rights, early childhood development, and regional policy engagement. CEPS’ representation ensures Seychelles’ perspectives, priorities, and civil society experiences are reflected in regional dialogue and collective advocacy.
This engagement strengthens CEPS’ commitment to regional collaboration, accountable governance, and amplifying the voice of Seychelles within SADC civil society platforms.
