BREAKING NEWS:
In his State of the Nation’s address, the President of the Republic Mr James Michel has announced that the Bay Ternay Hotel project has not be approved based on the impact it will have on the environment.
CEPS was leading a campaign to ‘Save Bay Ternay’ and had gone as far as to set up a a steering committee to drive the campaign. In November last year the CEPS Environment and Natural Resources Commission had produced a Scoping report on the proposed project. A Facebook page under the name “Save Bay Ternay” had been opened and all information relating to the project was being posted on the page.
CEPS welcomes this decision and wish thank the President for listening to the voice of civil society.
