Between the 04th to the 14th of September, a delegation representing LUNGOS was on official visit to China. The visit was made possible by the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Republic of Seychelles and the China NGO Network for International Exchanges (CNIE). The LUNGOS delegation comprised of LUNGOS Chairperson Mrs Marie-Nella Azemia, Mrs Germaine Valentin of Civil Society ‘Alliance of Solidarity for the Family (ASFF) and Mr Francis Accouche from the SCOUTS Association. The delegation got the opportunity to attend the ‘China-Africa Joint Efforts in Livelihood Improvement’ which was held under the theme “Sharing Development Experience and Promoting Livelihood Cooperation.” Talking of about the seminar Mrs Azemia said, “Meeting with the 7 other African NGO members for the seminar on ‘China-Africa Joint Efforts in Livelihood Improvement’ enabled us to familiarise ourselves with the challenges and opportunities being faced by Civil Society on the African continent. The exchanges were fruitful and we have learnt so much from the Chinese Civil Society Network.”
