Human Rights Forum

The Bahá’í Community of Seychelles held a Forum on Human Rights at the Bahá’í Centre, Rock Lane. During the one hour forum, rights discussed included Children’s rights, Women’s rights, Human & Social Development, and rights to religious freedom.

The event was organised as part of the 10 days of Activism which is observed between the period from 20 November to 10 December is dedicated to the: ‘Universal Children’s Day’ (20th November), ‘World Day of Prayer & Action for Children’ (20th November), ‘International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women’ (25th November), ‘International Volunteer Day for Social Development’ (5th December) and ‘Human Rights Day’ (10th December).

The event was attended by the Vice President Mr Danny Faure, Designated Minister Mr Vincent Meriton, Minister for foreign Affairs Mr Jean-Paul Adam, the Ambassador for Woman and Children’s Affairs Dr Erna H. ATHANASIUS, Bishop Denis Weih, Bishop French ChanHim, CEPS Chairperson Mr Jules Hoaureau, CEPS Board members, members of the Bahá’í Community and
other invited guests.
