The Ministry of Health, having received the 50, 000 doses of the COVISHIELD Vaccines will start rolling out vaccination of the aged 60yrs and above as of Tuesday the 26th January 2021.
Grateful for your help in passing on the message to the recipients, all in emphasizing that they need to exercise all the public health measures (frequent washing or sanitization of hands, mask covering their nose and mouth, keeping their distance from each other to at least one meter, no handshakes, no grouping to chat, heading back home as soon as they complete the first vaccination dose), remember that we still have active community transmission of Covid-19 going on.

It is of utmost important that we continue to shield the 60yrs and above as they are more vulnerable to complications from Covid-19 and vaccines is one additional measure to break the chain of community transmission.
The Ministry of Health would appreciate the help, understanding and cooperation of everyone in undertaking this exercise.
