Civil society is being invited to support the ban on plastic bags scheduled to be introduced in Seychelles in July of 2017. CEPS representatives met with officer from the Ministry of Environment, Energy and Climate Change to be better understand the way that this programme is to be implemented and the alternatives that will exist for users of plastic bags.
CEPS is being invited to become more involved once the education campaigns kicks of beginning of 2017. CEPS is already assisting the Ministry in distributing information notes on the proposed ban. The notes are available at the CEPS Secretariat, Orion Mall.
