The 16 Days of Activism for 2014 has officially been launched!!! Amongst others, CEPS Chairperson Mr Jules Houareau was one person who addressed those attending the launching and he spoke of CEPS’ commitment towards the elimination of gender based violence. This year’s theme is: From Peace in the Home to Peace in the World: Let’s Challenge Militarism and End Gender-Based Violence!
The 16 Days includes key dates which includes:
Key dates include:

25 November: International Day of No Violence Against Women
1 December: World Aids Day;
3 December: International Day for the Disabled;
10 December: Human Rights Day

The 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Violence is an international campaign that starts on 25 November, International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women and ends on 10 December, Human Rights Day. The campaign hopes to raise awareness about gender-based violence as a human rights issue at the local, national, regional and international level.
